Can Your Dreams Really Come True in a Bad Economy?

It’s easy to buy into the “stinkin’ thinkin’ of the masses” who gripe about how the economy is keeping them down and out. But what if the problem is there because you simply bought into it?

I often ask my clients to describe in detail how their job, their finances, or their relationship, or whatever else they hired me to get for them with feng shui would go if they got it. Many respond in two ways. They either say, “Oh, I don’t really know exactly” or they spout off some energetically-disconnected, pie-in-the-sky, rote-type of response like “a million dollars,” or “the knight in shining armor.” Some are just stumped, and look at me like I just asked them to recite the tax code word-for-word or something.

Here’s a little feng shui secret (not really, but hopefully it got your attention if you got stinkin’ thinkin’!) The recipe for success includes: 1. Getting CLEAR on your intention and having a CLEAR vision of what you want to attract.

2. Spending time imagining how you’ll feel, what you’ll see, what you’ll hear and what you’ll be saying to yourself when this change has happened in your life.

3. Believing that it can be yours NOW.

Two ways you can organize and anchor these dreams, thoughts and beliefs are to journal and to create a vision board. I recently had one client write me to let me know how her vision board worked for her:

“I would like to let you know almost all of it had happen this year. I became a flight attendant & got my passport this year & had a steady man in my life all year until recently. I’m looking forward to doing another for next year now that I have new goals for the upcoming year. I feel sort of different this year, I guess more spiritually & I what to focus on that. Thank you for all the info you put out every month.” Sincerely Elizabeth A.

As you can see, she has a “cup half full” attitude rather than a “this economy is killing me” attitude, even with the “steady man” leaving – VERY IMPORTANT distinction. This minute detail is a big part of what separates those who prosper and those who dry up when mass consciousness is in the dumper.

So, rate yourself on how often you think positively and how often you are playing over at the stinkin’ thinkin’ playground, and see if there is a correlation. I invite you to spend more time over in the playground that has you exploring how it looks, feels, sounds and tastes like to have your dreams fulfilled – especially as this is a brand new year!

Live The Optimist Creed – a Great Way to BE in the New Year

Are You Optimistic?

I went to the farmers market on Wednesday, and one of the vendors gave me a little slip of paper that he called “propaganda.”  Since I’ve been going to the farmers market for years, and I knew this guy could be the friendly sort, so thanked him and added the paper to my bag, and went on my way. When I got home, I read the paper and thought it was so good, I decided to post it here today.

The Optimist Creed

Promise yourself:

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk help, happiness and prosperity to everyone you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and to happy to permit the presence of trouble.

– Optimist International

Wow! Organic veggies AND words to live by! I double scored at the farmer’s market this time!
