I’ve lived in California since 1985, and have yet to find a native who gives a hoot whether there are yams or sweet potatoes on the Thanksgiving dinner table or not. What gives? Sweet potatoes ARE Thanksgiving to me. This goes all the way back to the year someone invented the marshmallow/yam combo.
