Why I Use the Black Hat Sect Style of Feng Shui More Than Other Styles

His holiness Grandmaster Professor Thomas Lin Yun

Many people e-mail me asking why I chose to write about and choose to use Black Hat style feng shui over some of the other styles out there (mainly the compass styles.) So, I thought I’d formally tell you.

Here’s my top ten list. 🙂

Top Ten Reasons I Use the Black Hat Sect Style of Feng Shui the most:

#10     My first teacher specialized in the Black Hat style.

#9       I think Black Hat translates to Western thinking best (and that’s the way I think – I think!)

#8      Grand Master Professor Lin was awesome when I met him! (The definition of awesome is “inspiring awe,” and awe’s definition is “a feeling of reverence mingled with wonder.”)

#7      Taking compass directions can be tricky for some (for example, if there is something metal in the area – even underground – it can throw off the compass reading, AND true North actually moves A LOT,) and I’m a wee bit to much of a perfectionist to handle it.

#6      The north pole is constantly shifting – and front doors don’t shift along with it.

#5      I trust my intuitive skills over my math skills.

#4      Who am I  kidding – I have no math skills 🙂

#3     I can feng shui airplanes and house boats where front doors move.(And yes, I’ve been asked to!)

#2      People can’t move or pick up their houses and spin them to a more favorable direction if they need to and Black Hat Sect Style doesn’t bum them out and make them wish they could.

#1      And most importantly, I get my best results using it!

And as I’ve said before, this is MY list and the reasons I use Black Hat Sect style the most. I believe other people can get great results using other styles. So I say, “Use whatever style that works best for you!”

When are you going to write another book?

I decided to tear the last manuscript apart and turn it into the to-do lists that are featured in the Move It Program (http://www.karenrauchcarter.com/moveit/) that I have on my website because it seemed there were many people just wanted to be told what to do and didn’t really care that much about why or have time to read a book first before doing anything. But you never know, maybe someday…:)

Love your book, and really look forward to reading another Black Hat Sect Style book 🙂 I would really love to read about more cures.

Actually, true north does not move – at all. It is located at the north pole. For feng shui we would use magnetic north. Magnetic north does shift, however, the compass will always point to north (magnetic north) and there is no extra work to be done.

This is the way it was traditionally done.
